Lone Star Polocrosse Club

Coupland Texas

The Lone Star Polocrosse Club is a non-profit organization teaching and playing polocrosse for all ages and abilities.  Our club's field is located on FM 1466, 6 miles east of Coupland, Texas .  We have practices weekly when weather and interest permits.  We hold one major tournament in the spring and sometimes smaller tournaments or playdays.  We also attend and compete at other tournaments in other locations in Texas , as well as other states.

We have established a Yahoo Group for our club where we communicate our practice times as well as other information by e-mail.  Anyone can view the messages in the group, but you have to join the group in order to receive the messages in your e-mail or to post a message or to access other functions of the group.

What is Polocrosse?

Polocrosse is a combination of polo and lacrosse. Anyone, young or old, on any horse can have a blast playing polocrosse. A team consists of six players, divided into two sections of three who play alternate chukkas of eight minutes each, usually 4 chukkas comprise a full match. The three players in each section consist of a No. 1 or "Attack", a No. 2 or "Center", and No. 3 or "Defense". The total aggregate of goals scored by the two sections in each team constitutes the final score.
